This article contains a description of all the legislations on solid waste management in India namely Bio-Medical Waste Management Rules, 2016, Plastic Waste Management Rules, 2016, Construction and Demolition Waste Management Rules, 2016, E-Waste (Management) Rules, 2016, Solid Waste Management Rules, 2015, The Municipal Solid Wastes (Management and Handling) Rules, 2000 and lastly a comprehensive action plan for the management of municipal solid waste in India.
