Marital Rape- An Unaddressed Stigma of Indian Society

Marital rape ranks among the most horrifying crimes perpetrated in India. Marriage-related rape is a type of rape and shall not be considered a lesser offence. The majority of times, marital rapes target married women. It is one of the greatest threats to India’s system of gender justice. It is the ideal illustration of a social malady that has long affected India and is still wreaking havoc today. In India, the issue of marital rape has never been addressed. In Indian culture, it is rarely contested by anybody for a variety of reasons.
